Big Scarr’s Debut Album ‘The Secret Weapon’ Drops This Friday
Gucci Mane announces release date for Big Scarr’s first posthumous album. The 1017 label boss revealed on Instagram that Scarr’s debut album “The Secret Weapon” is booked to arrive this Friday (February 17).
“My secret weapon Big Scarr album drops this Friday,” typed Gucci. “I hate that he’s not here to celebrate this great body of work that he worked so hard on! #TheSecretWeapon album drops this Friday 2/17 midnight on all platforms,” he added.
Gucci Mane signed Big Scarr, whose real name is Alexander Woods to his 1017 record label back in 2020. Big Scarr released his first mixtape under 1017 in April last year, and unfortunately died from drug overdose in December. Not long after his tragic death, Gucci was under fire from Big Scarr’s sister and close friend Quezz Ruthless for allegedly ghosting the family after promising to pay for Scarr’s funeral.
“You say to them you finna pay for the funeral, then you lie,” Quezz said in an Instagram live video. “You didn’t have to lie! You ain’t have to go ghost either, cuh. It was gonna get paid for either way. You could’ve just said you ain’t have the money. You don’t get no type of respect for that, cuh.”
“The minute that them folks called yo phone to see if you gon’ pay for the funeral, you blocked them. That’s not real, cuh. You ain’t straight. You only trying to act all real. You posted Scarr talking ’bout some long live — bruh, you ain’t do nothing, cuh,” Quezz added.
Big Scarr’s sister, Alexandra Woods also tabled similar accusations against Gucci, which forced the 1017 label boss’ wife Keyshia Ka’oir Davis to respond.
“Payment directly to funeral home,” she captioned a photo of a receipt, which shows Gucci paid $10,000 to NJ & Sons Funeral Home in Memphis.
“Leave my husband alone,” she added.
Big Scarr’s “The Secret Weapon” contains 17 tracks with features from Gucci Mane, Key Glock, Enchanting, Seddy Hendrinx, and his cousin Pooh Shiesty.
