The long-standing feud between 50 Cent and Rick Ross has reignited following recent comments made by 50 Cent on the Million Dollarz Worth of Game podcast.
During the podcast, 50 Cent addressed his issues with Rick Ross, stating that the Maybach Music Group boss frequently mentions him to stay relevant, “Nothing else works for him outside of mentioning me. When things get bad, he mentions me.”
Ross responded on Instagram, questioning 50 Cent’s loyalty to Dr. Dre and accusing him of abandoning Dr. Dre during the West Coast vs. The Canadian beef.
“You jumped out there during the beef between the West Coast and the Canadian, and I thought Dr. Dre put you on. I thought you were loyal to Dr. Dre. You chose the Canadian over Dr. Dre, who you said changed your life,” Ross stated. “But you went silent when the Canadian took the L. Totally quiet.”
The ongoing beef between 50 Cent and Rick Ross dates back several years. The feud escalated in June when Rick Ross and his crew were attacked in Canada for playing Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” during a performance.
At the time, 50 Cent addressed the incident on Instagram, saying, “Hey guys. I just saw a very unfortunate situation that took place in Canada, and I hope that brother made it home safely. I hope he now has a different perspective on what to do and what not to do while out in the world. That part where the young guy got knocked out—that does not reflect him; it reflects his camp.”
Dr. Dre played a pivotal role in shaping 50 Cent’s career, signing him to Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records in 2002. He produced several tracks on 50 Cent’s debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’,” and provided mentorship and industry knowledge. Kendrick Lamar, on the other hand, signed with Aftermath in 2012 as part of a joint venture with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and Interscope Records.
