Soulja Boy has been ordered to pay his ex-girlfriend Kayla Myers $235,900 after a Los Angeles jury on Friday (April 21) found him guilty of kidnapping and battery.
Radaronline reports the Jury awarded Myers $234,100 for physical and mental pain and an additional $1,800 for mental health expenses after determining Soulja Boy acted with “malice, oppression or fraud.”
The verdict arrives 4-years after Kayla Myers claimed Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez assaulted her at a house party in Malibu for fighting with his female assistant. In the lawsuit, Myers claimed SB punched and beat her with a gun and then ordered his other assistant Tevin Anderson to tie her up with extension cords.
Myers further alleges she was held hostage for six hours and was only allowed to leave the next day after she gave oral sex to Tevin.
Myers said she immediately called the police and Soulja was arrested after cops conducted a raid on his home and found guns. However, he was never charged over the alleged assault.
Soulja Boy’s ex-girlfriend said she suffered three fractured ribs and a bruised face. While the musician has denied all allegations of wrongdoing and claimed any alleged injuries were caused by third parties, Jurors would convene later this week to decide on punitive damages in the civil trial.
