Celebrating Afrobeats, global Black music, and African culture with festivals around the globe, Afro Nation brings fans of all nations together with great vibes and even better music. Today, Afro Nation announces the lineup for Afro Nation Detroit 2023, its next festival in the United States.
The festival brings in Burna Boy and Davido, to headline a genre-spanning lineup of heavy-hitters. Featured on the lineup are R&B singer Ari Lennox, Nigerian duo P-Square, ATL rapper Latto, “Players” hitmaker Coi Leray, Nigerian star Kizz Daniel, genre-bending musician Masego, and many more. Presented in partnership with Bedrock, a Detroit-based company, Afro Nation Detroit 2023 arrives on August 19th-20th, 2023 at Bedrock’s Douglass Site in Detroit, Michigan.
Tickets are available on Friday, June 2nd at 10am.
Expected to draw tens of thousands of attendees each day from around the globe, Afro Nation Detroit 2023 will feature additional activations and events to honor Detroit’s musical contributions to the world and highlight its connection to present day American, African, and global Black culture and music. The festival offers an opportunity to celebrate the resilience and enduring legacy and to connect with Detroit’s vibrant music and artistic communities.
The announcement of the Afro Nation Detroit lineup arrives ahead of this weekend’s Afro Nation Miami, the first Afro Nation event in the U.S. The inaugural Miami festival highlights the best in Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop, amapiano, and other Black-led musical genres. Headlined by Afrobeats giants Burna Boy and WizKid, and featuring a powerful lineup of artists from Africa, the Caribbean, and across the globe, Afro Nation Miami touches down at loanDepot Park this weekend, May 27 & 28, 2023.
