Kanye West had unpleasant things to say about his collaborations with Pusha T, Teyana Taylor and Nas in a leaked footage purportedly from his documentary. The recording, said to be from around 2018, captured him discussing the intense G.O.O.D. Music period during which a West-affiliated release was dropped once a week over four weeks.
In the conversation, Kanye rants about dissolving his G.O.O.D music record label and voices regret over giving his music to Teyana Taylor and Pusha T.
“I need to get rid of G.O.O.D music because I’m great and guess what? ‘good’ is the enemy of great,” he said. “The f-ck I’m doing giving “Wanna Love You” to f——ng Teyana [Taylor], What the f—k I’m doing giving that Daytona album to Pusha [T], what the f—k I’m doing bro. That sh-t was 3 [My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasies] that I gave away.”
In the footage, he also lamented Nas’s offbeat delivery on ‘Cops Shot The Kid’ and expressed frustrations with the QB legend’s lack of communication about the corresponding video.
“Cops Shot The Kid Nas rapping all goddam off beat on it [and] don’t even wanna shoot the video and then shoot the video and don’t even tell me,” Ye said.
The footage also captured West’s feelings of being used and undervalued by his collaborators.
“These muthaf——rs don’t appreciate me, all these muthaf——rs just tryna use me. I’m the greatest muthaf——ng artist living and I can do everything and I’m not being expanded and my vision is not being expanded to what it is.”
After venting his feelings of under-appreciation, he proudly declared himself untouchable due to his high-status, contrasting his profile with the late XXXTentacion.
“I know my life is on the line when I’m talking but I know I ain’t nobody gon touch me because I’m too high profile, I’m not triple X [XXXTentacion], so y’all can’t take me out.” He then vowed sever ties with Universal and adidas.

Adidas was forced to terminate its partnership with Kanye West after he went on an antisemitic spree in 2022. “I can say antisemitic sh-t and Adidas cannot drop me,” Ye bragged on Drink Champs. The German company ultimately called his bluff and ended their relationship, which Forbes reports cost the rapper his billionaire status.
“adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism and any other sort of hate speech,” a statement from the company read. “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
The statement continued: “After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with Ye immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products and stop all payments to Ye and his companies. adidas will stop the adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”
Meanwhile, Nas apoke about his collaboration with West and why it seemingly flopped in a 2020 interview with The Breakfast Club. “I don’t know what went wrong,” Nas began. “But I would say, I did want to work more with him.”
The legendary emcee explained that West was heavily involved in the ambitious G.O.O.D. Music project that summer, leaving less time for their collaboration.
“We spent some time there, but I was working on ideas. He would give me a few loops and I would write to them but they wasn’t finished. He was working on a lot, he had Cudi, Teyana Taylor, he had his album. I was the only one coming in starting fresh. So I got the less time with him. We really did that album like, that week that it was supposed to come out.”
Despite the challenges, Nas doesn’t regret the experience. “I like ‘Cop Shot the Kid.’ I like ‘Adam and Eve,’” Nas said. “I like the music in ‘Simple Things.’ It’s a short album. We just didn’t get enough time. I wish we’d worked on it more. Certain things happened for reasons.”
