After a career spanning 15 solo albums and six collaborative projects, Veteran New York rapper Styles P is gearing up for his final bow from solo rap. His latest album, Penultimate: A Calm Wolf Is Still A Wolf, dropped on January 27, setting the stage for this momentous transition.
Before the Yonkers OG officially retires from his solo rap career, he’s embarking on the ‘Respect My Legacy’ Tour. Kicking off on November 27, 2023, at Irving Plaza in New York City (just a day before his 49th birthday), the tour will span eleven cities through February.
The show promises an unforgettable experience, with support from Harlem’s own Smoke DZA and a captivating headlining performance by Styles P, alongside a live band. In New York, the celebration takes an even grander scale with Brady Watt’s Bass & Bars ensemble joining the stage, while Ramakhandra will accompany Styles P for the rest of the tour.

The ‘Respect My Legacy’ tour announcement arrives on the heels of Styles P’s sold out ‘Respect My Legacy’ concert in Toronto on October 12, which was his first ever solo show in the Canadian city.
Born David Styles in Queens, New York, and raised in Yonkers, Styles P’s journey in the rap game began when he, along with Jadakiss and Sheek Louch, was discovered by the legendary Mary J. Blige in 1994. They ascended under two of hip-hop’s most illustrious banners – Bad Boy Records led by Sean “Diddy” Combs, and the DMX-helmed Ruff Ryders label.
Styles P’s solo debut, A Gangster and a Gentleman (2002), introduced the hit single “Good Times,” produced by Swizz Beatz. Over the years, he consistently delivered impactful music, establishing himself as one of rap’s most esteemed lyricists.
Now, as Styles P prepares to step away from the solo spotlight, his focus shifts towards health and wellness. His latest endeavor, Farmacy For Life, is poised to bridge the gap between hip-hop and healthy living. Billed as “Hip-Hop’s first natural health food store,” it’s an extension of his successful line of juice bars, Juices For Life.
