DJ Mustard Agrees To Pay Ex-Wife $19,000 A Month In Child Support.

DJ Mustard and ex-wife, Chanel Thierry have reached a compromise in their child support disputes.

According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Thierry and Mustard informed the court of their settlement on January 31, and Thierry will receive $18,342 in monthly child support payments starting this February.

The agreed figure is much lower from her original request of approximately $82,628. And while it may seem like a huge W for her producer husband, Thierry hasn’t given up the battle and only agreed to “postpone the hearing” for her motion to a later date.

In her court hearing earlier this year, Chanel says her pre-marital agreement with the Grammy-award winning producer entitles her to 35k per month in spousal support, and called on her ex-husband to “true up his support payments from June 1, 2022, to present. She also demanded an additional 40k to cover her attorney fees, describing her ex-husband as a “successful American Record Producer who makes an extraordinarily high living wage” and has “more than enough income to pay for both his and my attorney fees.”

DJ Mustard, whose legal name is Dijon Isaiah McFarlane filed for divorce from Chanel Thierry two years after they got married. Though the 32-year-old producer began dating Thierry since they were 19 years old, they got engaged in 2018 before eventually tying the knot in 2020. Mustard cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

They share three children together, Kiylan, Kauner, and Kody, and have agreed on joint legal custody for the kids.

Following their separation, Chanel claimed dealing with Mustard grew “increasingly difficult,” and accused the father of their three kids of refusing to pay spousal support, a claim the producer denies.

“From the time Chanel and I separated in May 2022, I continued to uphold my obligation to support her and the children,” he claimed. “I continued to pay all of Chanel’s living expenses, including all of her credit card bills. I also continued paying Chanel’s housing costs and the children’s expenses including private school tuition.”

DJ Mustard added, “Along with the voluntary child support, I also have continued paying for 100% of our children’s educational, medical and extra-curricular expenses. Finally, I have also paid 100% of our agreed-upon spousal support buy-out of $315,000 in accordance with the terms of the Premarital Agreement.”
