In a jarring post shared on his Instagram story on Monday (June 26), the Migos rapper accused his wife, Cardi B of cheating on him. He did not provide any specific details about the alleged cheating, but he claimed that he had “proof.”
“My wife f**ked a n**ga on me gang yall n***as know how I come.” Offset claimed in a since deleted post.
Cardi B responded to the accusation in a Twitter Spaces session, denying that she had cheated. She opened the audio stream by singing Keyshia Cole’s “I Should’ve Cheated” before explaining why her popularity won’t ever let her go rogue.
“Don’t pay attention to the country man, y’all,” Cardi said. “I’m fkin Cardi B. If I was giving this psy to anybody, it would be out. I’m just not anybody. I can’t fkin no regular degular shmegular because they gon tell the world. I can’t fk nobody in the industry cause they gon tell too.
“So please boy, stop acting stupid. Don’t play with me.”
In December 2018, Cardi B and Offset publicly announced that they were splitting up after Offset confessed to being unfaithful. The announcement came through a now-deleted Instagram video from Cardi B, where she explained that they had been trying to work things out but decided to separate.
Despite the split, Offset made public gestures to win Cardi B back, including crashing her live performance at a music festival with a grand gesture of flowers and a “Take Me Back” sign. Over time, the couple eventually reconciled and have been together since, working through their issues and rebuilding their relationship.
