During a conversation with Hollywood’s Unlocked Jason Lee, Omarion hinted that Karrueche Tran may have initially shown interest in him before she started dating Chris Brown.
Lee recounted a night when he brought a group of women, including Karrueche, to hang out with both Brown and Omarion. He recalled that he wanted to hook the singer with Tran and they were “kinda feeling each other.”
“One of the girls I tried to hook you up with that a lot of people don’t know about is Karrueche. Do you remember that?” Lee asked Omarion, to which the “Ice Box” singer confirmed with a smile.
Lee continued- “Me, Chris Brown, and Omarion- y’all were brothers right? One night they said to bring all these girls, so I brought all these girls and one of the girls was Karruche. Do you remember that night?”
Lee went on to mention that it seemed like there was a mutual attraction between Karrueche and Omarion, and he thought something might have sparked between them. “Y’all was kinda feeling each other and I thought y’all was gonna be a thing.”
Omarion agreed, acknowledging that it was true. Lee continued to playfully suggest that if he were in Omarion’s shoes, he would’ve spoken up when he saw Karrueche with Chris.
“Then she was on MediaTakeOut with Chris [Brown] And you never said anything. What?! If I was you I would’ve!”Lee added.
Omarion interjected with a lighthearted remark, “Come on now! You got to be unbothered,” a nod to the title of his 2022 memoir, “Unbothered: The Power of Choosing Joy by Omarion.”
While Omarion didn’t explicitly confirm if anything happened between him and Karrueche, Chris Brown didn’t seem pleased with the insinuation. He reacted by calling Omarion “lame” and expressed his disbelief, saying, “Mannnn … if you don’t get yo lame ass on somewhere. N-ggas be reaching for the starz.”
Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran had an on-and-off relationship for approximately four years from 2011 to 2015. Their relationship eventually came to an end after a turbulent and public breakup. Karrueche then moved on to date former NFL player Victor Cruz. She had previously obtained a restraining order against Chris Brown, citing harassment.
Meanwhile, Omarion found love with reality TV star Apryl Jones. The couple dated for several years before parting ways in 2016. They continue to co-parent their two children: daughter A’mei, 6, and son Megaa, 8.
