Fortnite

Eminem fans are taking to Fortnite in droves to celebrate the rapper’s collaboration with the popular battle royale game. Three Eminem skins were released in Fortnite on Wednesday, November 29th, allowing players to embody the rap icon in his Slim Shady era, donning a Rap Boy costume or a Marshall Never More outfit.

Inspired by the rapper’s extensive discography, fans have been unleashing their creativity by recreating scenes from Eminem’s music videos within the Fortnite universe. One particularly inventive player repurposed the rapper’s iconic “The Real Slim Shady” music video, featuring five Eminem skins seated in an outdoor basketball court, mirroring the original video’s opening scene.

Another creative fan replicated the epic battle rap scene from Eminem’s 8 Mile film, pitting Slim Shady against The Falcon from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by Anthony Mackie. Coincidentally, Mackie also played Papa Doc in 8 Mile, the character on the losing end of the rap battle.

Eminem confirmed his partnership with Fortnite last week with a brief teaser on social media. As part of the collaboration, the Detroit native will headline Fortnite’s Chapter 4 OG season finale, an upcoming in-game event titled “The Big Bang,” which will usher in Chapter 5 of the game.  Fans who attend the Fortnite Eminem event on Saturday (12/2/23) at 7pm utc, you will get the Marshall Magma edit style for the Marshall Nevermore skin!
