The internet is buzzing with excitement after Justin and Hailey Bieber announced they’re expecting their first child together! A representative for Hailey confirmed the news, revealing she’s already six months pregnant
The happy couple themselves shared the news on Instagram with a sweet video from their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii. The clip opens with a romantic scene of them kissing, followed by a glimpse of Hailey’s baby bump in a flowing white dress. The post also includes photos of Justin capturing his wife’s radiant glow.
In 2018, the Biebers confirmed their long-rumored marriage on Instagram. Justin posted a picture of them holding hands, captioned, “My wife is awesome.” At the same time, Hailey changed her username from “Baldwin” to “Bieber.” They got engaged in the Bahamas earlier that year, after about a month of dating.
The news comes after months of speculation, which Hailey, 27, gracefully addressed in a GQ Hype interview. She spoke openly about the constant pregnancy rumors, admitting they were sometimes frustrating.”Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” she told the outlet.
“There is something that’s disheartening about, damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant? It would be a lie if I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I don’t give a s—.’
“When there comes a day that that is true, you, you as in the internet, will be the last to know,” she candidly added.
While Hailey previously expressed a desire to raise her children out of the spotlight, the Rhode founder acknowledged the challenges of being a celebrity couple. “probably totally unavoidable,” she conceded.
Justin has expressed his desire to start a family with Hailey but noted in a December 2020 appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that he was respecting his wife’s timeline.
“I am going to have as many [babies] as Hailey is wishing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe,” the “Baby” singer said at the time. “But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do. … I think she wants to have a few.”
When asked by DeGeneres why they were waiting, Justin replied, “There’s not really an issue.”
“But I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman, and I think … she’s just not ready yet. And that’s okay,” he said.
