Clipse and 2 Chainz have been announced as the headliners for 2023’s Chicago’s Hyde Park Summerfest. The festival, which goes down on June 17th and 18th at Midway Plaisance Park will also feature additional performances from Tobe Nwigwe, Robert Glasper, Uncle Waffles, Jonathan McReynolds, and Terry Hunter.
Additionally, Hyde Park SummerFest 2023 will also celebrate 50 years of hip-hop with a Chicago rap tribute featuring Twista, Shawnna, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, and Vic Mensa.
Tickets for the festival are now available at Hyde Park’s website.
Last year, Clipse, comprising of brothers No Malice and Pusha T reunited for the first time in a decade at Pharrell’s Something In The Water Festival in Washington D.C. They followed the moment with a surprise performance later that year at the 2022 BET HIP-HOP Awards.
Prior to their Something In The Water performance, the Thornton brothers reconnected on Japanese streetwear icon Nigo’s “I Know Nigo!” compilation album and on “I Pray For You” from Pusha T’s Grammy awards nominated album “It’s Almost Dry.”
