Don Toliver and Kali Uchis announced that they are expecting their first child together. The couple surprised fans with the news on Thursday (Jan. 11) via their Instagram accounts, alongside a heartwarming video montage chronicling their journey to parenthood.
The video, set to their new song “Tu Corazón Es Mio,” features sweet clips of Uchis’ growing baby bump, interspersed with adorable childhood moments from both artists. It culminates in the couple sharing a tender kiss with Uchis’ belly, visibly brimming with excitement.
“Starting our family. Don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you,” the couple captioned their joint post.
Fans and fellow celebrities were quick to shower them with congratulations. “CONGRATULATIONS MOMMY!!! So beautiful ✨ get ready for the best years of your life,” wrote singer Victoria Monet, while new mom Halle Bailey simply commented, “Yayy!!! congratulations beautiful.”
R&B singer SZA also shared her excitement in the comments, “CONGRATULATIONS YALLLLL!!! Most Angelic lighthearted pretty baby [On the way].”

Kali discussed her pregnancy in a story published in the De Los section of the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.
“Motherhood is definitely something I always wanted to experience,” she said. “I feel ready for it. I’ve done a lot of necessary healing on myself in the last year. I got sober. I decided to clear myself spiritually, mentally… and, well, that’s when I got pregnant.”
We always talked about wanting to have a kid, so we were really happy,” she explained. “[But] I didn’t want to share that journey with just anybody. There’s so many people out there, even within my own family, that don’t wish me well. I didn’t want anybody to know until I felt that my pregnancy was viable. Ask any pregnant woman [why] they’d want to keep it private. It’s such a vulnerable situation.”
Don and Kali have been romantically linked since 2020 and have collaborated on several musical projects, including the sizzling track “Drugs N Hella Melodies” in 2021, and “4 Me” off Don’s Love Sick album, which dropped last February.
