GloRilla: Who Is She? Yo Gotti Signs FNF Rapper To CMG

Veteran Memphis rapper, Yo Gotti announced on Instagram Tuesday (July 5) that he had signed Memphis newcomer GloRilla to his CMG label.

The 41-year-old rapper described Glo as a “natural born star” in a statement to Billboard.

“GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now,” Gotti said. “It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late-April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music.

Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

Moments after the deal was announced, GloRilla took to Instagram to share a video of herself signing the contract aboard Gotti’s private jet. She was gifted her own CMG chain and a bag, which Complex reports contained $500,000.

“I’ve put in years of hard work to get this point and I’m blessed to sign with the hottest label in music with CMG,” GloRilla said. “I manifested this moment and trusted my talent even when others didn’t. I’m grateful for Gotti for believing in me and I’m not gonna let up. Trust that I have more new heat on the way.”

GloRilla is the fifth artist to sign to CMG this year. She joins a growing roster that already includes Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Blocboy JB, and Lil Poppa, among others.

Who Is GloRilla?

GloRilla, born Gloria Woods is a rising, female rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. The vibrant newcomer gained mainstream media attention after her Hitkidd-produced “FNF (Let’s Go)” went viral on TikTok due to the creation of the #FNFChallenge. The song peaked at No. 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has amassed over 22 million views on YouTube.

Prior to her successful single, GloRilla released other songs like “Westside Baby (Gutta),” “Gang Nem,” and “Outside.”
