Kanye West Responds After Boosie Claimed Nobody Listens To His Music In The Projects

Must Read

Kanye West has responded to Boosie Badazz‘s criticism following Boosie’s reaction to recent claims made by Ye during an interview with radio personality Big Boy.

In the interview, Kanye boasted about his significant impact on the music industry, boldly claiming to have pioneered every music style over the last two decades. He specifically mentioned inventing genres for artists such as The Weeknd, Travis Scott and Drake.

“I invented every style of music of the past 20 years,” Ye asserted. “I created the genre for The Weeknd, [Travis Scott], Drake. With all due respect, I’ll also include Future and [Young] Thug because of the auto-tune album, 808s & Heartbreak.”

Boosie Badazz, however, took issue with Kanye’s assertion. He countered on Instagram, stating, “Not all genres not every style. Not Boosie Music.  You can’t relate to nothing I rap about r your music. Nobody listens to Kanye n the projects r the trenches. I’m a gon head n say it “my people do not relate to you.”

Ye, in response to Boosie’s comments, referenced Boosie’s hit song “Wipe Me Down” and its release year, distancing himself from the genre it represents. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Kanye wrote, “I just saw that ‘Wipe Me Down’ was made in 2007. I take no responsibility for whatever that genre would be called.”

As of now, Boosie has not replied to Kanye’s latest comment, but the two have a history of going at each other on social media. In 2022, Boosie publicly criticized Kanye for wearing an All Lives Matter shirt during a YZYSZN fashion show.

“[Kanye West] AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL SHIT ON!!” Boosie tweeted. “U GIVES NO FUCKS ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN. N U SAY BUSH DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE.”

Ye swiftly clapped back at the Louisiana rapper on Instagram with a warning issued in all caps.

“Don’t speak on my Lil Boosie,” Kanye opened. “Speak to me [.] Yeah little nerd ass me come smack me or come shoot me [.] I’m the one that got bullied by the entire black celebrity community now I’m back to shoot the school up.”
