Lance Reddick Cause Of Death Revealed

Lance Reddick died from heart disease, according to his death certificate.

TMZ explains the death certificate lists Reddick’s immediate cause of death as Ischemic Heart Disease as well as Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease.’ According to Publichealth, Ischemic heart disease is a condition where there is a reduced blood supply to the heart muscle due to a blockage in one or more of the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart.

The blockage is usually caused by the buildup of plaque (a fatty substance) on the walls of the arteries, which can restrict blood flow and cause a range of symptoms, including chest pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, and weakness.

Lance Reddick was found dead by his wife Stephanie at his Studio City home on Friday (March 17), a week before the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4. Reddick starred as Charon in all four “John Wick” films and was a popular figure in the franchise. Following the news of his death, John Wick star Keanu Reaves and director Chad Stahelski said in a statement to Variety that they were ‘deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague.’

‘He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with,’ the statement continued. ‘Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly.’

Reddick started his acting career in the 1990s, and his first major role was on the HBO series “Oz”. He then went on to play the character of Cedric Daniels on “The Wire”, which was critically acclaimed and earned him widespread recognition. He has also had recurring roles on other TV series, such as “Lost”, “CSI: Miami”, and “American Horror Story”.

Additionally, Reddick has also appeared in several films, including “White House Down”, “Angel Has Fallen,” and “The Guest”. He is also an accomplished musician, playing the guitar, piano, and violin. He has released two albums, “Contemplations & Remembrances” and “Seasons”.

His death certificate states he’s to be cremated. Condolences to his family and friends.
