North’s musical journey began with her appearance on Kanye’s “VULTURES 1” album, lending her vocals to the hit single “Talking.” The song made a significant impact, debuting at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 and surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, famously launched his career with “The College Dropout.” The album achieved monumental success, selling over 441,000 copies in its first week and reaching quadruple platinum status by 2020. It featured collaborations with Jay-Z, Common, Jamie Foxx, and more, and spawned classics like “All Falls Down,” “Through The Wire,” and “Jesus Walks.”

Speaking of Ye, his highly anticipated second installment of “Vultures” was scheduled for a March 8 release but has been delayed. On Saturday (March 9), the polarizing artist shared a tweet that suggested he plans to sell the next installment straight to consumers for $20.

Inspired by James Blake, Ye shared on social media:

“Was talking with the team about how to release the next album. Like James Blake said streaming devalues our music.I got 20 million Instagram followers. When 5% of my followers buy an album, that’s 1 million albums sold. That’s 300k more than the biggest album last year.

“We sold 1 million items on yeezy.com on Super Bowl Sunday so we know it’s possible. How do you feel about us not streaming and only selling the album digitally.”
