Tamar Braxton Confirms Chrisean Rock Punched James Wright Multiple Times In The Face

R&B singer Tamar Braxton has confirmed that reality star Chrisean Rock punched her backup singer James Wright multiple times in the face at her R&B Love & War concert last Friday night. The altercation reportedly occurred after Rock accused Wright of preventing her from performing at Braxton’s concert, where she was invited.

In a video shared on Monday (November 13), Braxton addressed the incident, claiming Rock attacked Wright, leaving him with “gun damage” and multiple injuries. Braxton, in her message noted she was aware of Rock’s unruly behavior but didn’t want to judge her.

“I knew she was rowdy but I didn’t judge her because of that you know I felt for her on many occasions and this is somebody I wanted to meet and possibly take under my wing and because everybody knows I don’t have the best past,” she said.

Braxton clarified that she didn’t invite Rock to perform but mentioned a friendly interaction in her dressing room. She explained, “I didn’t call Chrisean to open up for me but when she was in my dressing room we did a twerk-off portion and I said it would be cool if the DJ played ‘It’s A Vibe,’ and you came out and did a Vibe

Braxton admitted a misunderstanding and apologized to her team, stating, “This is a safe loving healing place and I have to apologize to my team if my silence have made you all feel like I have not been supportive to you and I also want to acknowledge Chrisean thank you for coming, thank you for your presence… I didn’t want to set you up, I didn’t tell nobody not to play your music.”

According to Braxton’s best friend, LeTroy Davis, Rock got upset on Friday for missing an opportunity to perform on stage with Braxton. LeTroy claimed Rock punched James Wright in the face, causing a bloody nose.

Davis took to social media to express her anger at Rock, calling her a “disgusting pig” and promising to do everything in her power to make sure she goes to jail.

“She is trash and that’s why her life is the way that it is. She deserves every bad thing that happens to her,” Davis wrote.

James Wright has also confirmed the assault, saying that he was left with a chipped tooth, gun damage to his face, a busted nose, and a concussion.

“Child I was an innocent voice… I don’t know what be wrong with people, I really don’t. All I did was went to work child. I went to work and get my job… I got to cancel work today, I have work today, I have two jobs I have to sing today and I had to miss it,” he said in an Instagram video.

Wright also shared a video of him at the dentist, where he said that he had to get his teeth fixed. “My face is beat, it’s tore up,” James said in a livestream.

Seemingly speaking in defense of Rock, Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold disagreed with Tamar Braxton’s portrayal of events. Saffold suggested that Chrisean Rock, known for her volatile nature, should have been better handled by security to prevent the incident.

“Bull sh** she beat up her mans momma don’t play dumb now.. you knew that baby needed help when you brought her there. Your security should be responsible for bringing her there knowing she’s worse than when she started. No ma’am she getting a power ranger pass. If you want to have her to help your following you need the proper security or wait until she is healed,” she wrote in the comments

Responding to accusations from Blueface’s mother, Tamar Braxton defended her actions, emphasizing her lack of prior knowledge about the involved parties.

“I’ve never met none of there people,” Braxton replied. “Please leave me alone. I’m only here because my brother James got hit in the face for being nice to a guest. He left with a chipped tooth, gun damage..and a busted nose and a concussion. However I still pray for those who need help. I come in love. God bless everyone.”

Chrisean Rock has deactivated her social media accounts since the assault allegations surfaced.
