Controversial hip hop artist Tekashi 6ix9ine was attacked by a group of men inside a South Florida gym on Tuesday night (March 21).
In one clip from the attack that surfaced online, a paled man wearing a black shirt and shorts can be seen continuously hitting 6ix9ine while the rapper tries his best to protect his face. At some point during the altercation the man stumps 6ix9ine on the ribs.
His attorney, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ Tekashi was inside the sauna at an LA Fitness gym when he was attacked by three or four men who beat him to a pulp. The 26-year-old rapper allegedly tried to fight back, but there were too many of them.
Gym staff heard the commotion and immediately notified a manager at the establishment, who then called Police and EMS to the scene. Tekashi was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The rapper reportedly suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and back.
Lance notes 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez did not have security with him at the time of the attack.
The infamous rapper has had a target on his back since he cooperated with the Feds in a trial that sent several of his Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members to prison. While It’s unclear if the assault is related to the case, Lazzaro says he plans to call the feds to ensure Tekashi is provided with adequate security.
If you recall the rapper was also jumped last year September while clubbing in Dubai.
