Cairo, Egypt – Travis Scott‘s Utopia concert at the Pyramids of Giza was canceled on Wednesday, just two days before the show was scheduled to take place. Live Nation Middle East, the promoter of the concert, cited “complex production issues” as the reason for the cancellation.
However, Scott has vowed that the concert will happen at a later date. In a statement on Twitter, he said, “Egypt at the Pyramids will happen. But due to demand and detail logistics They just need a bit a time to set lay on lands. I will keep u posted on a date which will be soon love you alllll.”
In addition to the production issues, there were also some political factors that may have contributed to the cancellation of the concert. The Egyptian musicians’ syndicate had previously withdrawn its license for the show, citing concerns about Scott’s history of inciting violence at his concerts.
Amidst the situation, the “SICKO WORLD” musician revealed plans for four more similar experiences in other locations, hinting at exciting future announcements.
“But in good news I had 4 more of these type of experiences in other places,” he announced. “COORDINATES SOON REACH.”
With his concert at the pyramids of Egypt now canceled, it is uncertain if the Houston rapper would go ahead with the release of his Utopia album, which was scheduled to arrive same day as the canceled event.
