Jay-Z Reveals Why He’s Yet To Headline The Super Bowl

The Brooklyn rapper said it could happen in the future.

JayZ is one of the biggest names in music and has headlined several concerts and shows worldwide except for the Super Bowl. The Hip-Hop mogul has helped produce the iconic show since Roc Nation partnered with the National Football League in 2019, and his creative vision has led to Emmy-winning performances by Dr. Dre and Rihanna

However, the question of whether he will ever headline the show himself remains a hot topic. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight during a red-carpet interview at The Book of Clarence movie premiere on Friday (January 5), Hov shared his perspective, stating, “I thought it would be too selfish to pick myself. The Roc Nation founder has a history of declining Super Bowl offers in the past, notably in 2021 when the NFL proposed a performance contingent on bringing Rihanna and Kanye West for their hit collaboration “Run This Town.”

Jay-Z expressed his confidence, stating, “He’s one of the greatest performers that we’ve seen in our time. I think he’ll take his rightful place.”
