Jay-Z Announces Surprise Concert In Paris

Jay-Z is set to end his more than five years stage hiatus with a rare live performance in Paris this week. According to Roc Nation, hip hop’s first billionaire will pay tribute to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat at the Basquiat x Warhol exhibition on Friday (April 14).

The concert in support of LV’s “Basquiat × Warhol. Painting four hands” exhibition kicks off at 9pm, at the Foundation’s Auditorium. Tickets for the performance are available here.

“To coincide with the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition, JAY-Z will give a celebratory concert to pay tribute to Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, on Friday 14 April 2023 at 9pm, in the Fondation’s Auditorium,” the foundation’s website reads.

Jay-Z has referenced Michel Basquiat in his rhymes for decades, and was recently criticized by 50 Cent for trying to mirror his likeness.
