DC Young Fly is making a heartfelt plea for the return of his stolen bookbag, which he believes was taken from him after his gig at the Hollywood Improv on Monday night.
In an emotional Instagram post, the comedian/actor shared that the bag holds some personal belongings, including the death certificate of his late girlfriend, Jacky Oh!, who passed away last May from complications related to cosmetic surgery, and the certificate is a precious memento of their time together.
“I think was really trying to refrain from this video, but I just want my bookbag back,” he said in an Instagram video posted Tuesday (Feb. 20). “It’s got some personal belongings in that motherf*cker. You feel me? Some personal belongings in that motherf*cker. Really wasn’t no money in there or nothing. Wasn’t nothing. It’s just personal sh*t that’s in there. I really hate that I gotta do all this sh*t, bruh. Bruh, just bring me my bag, bro. Bring me the bag, bro.”
“The bag got my girl’s death certificate in it. It got personal belongings in it. I just need the bag, bro. I just want the bag, bro. Really just bring it back with everything in it ‘cause there wasn’t nothing in it. Just bring me the bag.”
DC Young Fly told the thief to bring the bag to the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles. “Jus drop it off Shawty .. don’t thro it away,” he wrote in a second post.
Fellow comedians D.L. Hughley and Earthquake have joined DC in raising awareness about the stolen bag on social media, urging anyone with information to come forward and help reunite DC with his cherished possession.

Jacky Oh, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, died from complications stemming from cosmetic surgery in May 2023. The 33-year-old mother underwent a gluteal augmentation procedure and experienced no issues during the operation, but she developed a severe headache after the surgery.
She reportedly started feeling like her head was burning and had difficulty speaking. Her aunt called emergency services. Jacky Oh was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
