Keke Palmer had a clear message for those curious about her relationship with Darius Jackson: “Mind Y’all Business.”
During a recent appearance on NBC’s Today with Hoda & Jenna, The former Nickelodeon child star was questioned about the situation involving Usher and her child’s father, Darius Jackson. Without divulging any serious details about her personal matters, KeKe stated, “Life is good. I have nothing but gratitude. Honestly, seriously. I’m gonna take a page out of my girl Beyoncé’s book, mind y’all’s business.”
For those unaware, earlier this summer, Darius Jackson criticized a viral moment in which Palmer danced to Usher’s “There Goes My Baby” at one of the R&B singer’s Las Vegas residency concerts. He expressed his disapproval, specifically addressing Palmer’s attire and behavior.
“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” he tweeted, which garnered significant backlash.
In response to the memes and online commotion, Keke, who welcomed her and Jackson’s son Leodis Andrellton in February, shared additional images of her dress on Instagram and encouraged everyone to attend Usher’s concert.
“I wish I had taken more pictures but we were running late! I am telling y’all right now, if you haven’t seen @usher YOU MUST GO!! HE WAS SO FABULOUS!! Giving theater, Atlanta downnn, tips and tricks and just absolutely iconic. I was truly inspired as a performer. I whooped some ass in spades too! Earlier this month, the couple seemingly dispelled any rumors of a breakup when they were pictured together at the Los Angeles stop of Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour.
Meanwhile, Usher, who was at the center of the controversy, is set to headline next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. Keke Palmer expressed her excitement, stating, “I can’t wait to hear all my songs… He’s an icon. It’s a long time coming, so I’m looking forward to it.”
