The Kardashians by reflecting on two of her past relationships. In the episode, which premiered Thursday (May 25) on Hulu, the reality star broke down in tears while opening up about how messy things have become with her ex-husband, Kanye West.
During a confessional chat with her mother, Kris Jenner, Kim spoke on her alleged affair with Drake and accused West of being the mastermind behind the rumor, despite publicly declaring to be her “forever protector.”
“He is the one that is hurting me the most. He was the one that started a rumor that said I was hooking up with Drake, having an affair. Our full marriage, he accused me of that publicly,” Kim told Kris. “So the person that’s supposed to protect me the most — publicly — would accuse me of having an affair throughout our whole marriage. I really can’t wrap my head around how he thinks he is a protector.”
Kim also explained how Ye’s belligerence and anti semitic remarks on social media affected her. Although Jenner noted that Kim “can’t control” another person, the SKIMS creator believes Ye’s “shenanigans are going to be far more damaging to the kids one day than my (sex)tape will ever be.”
“But even just like how he looks so down on me for, like, my tape and brings it up all over town, all over the media,” Kim said. “Like, thanks for reminding people once again. All of his shenanigans—I don’t even know what the fuck to call it, is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be. AndI have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that and I know that is the best thing for them.”
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West on February 19, 2021, after nearly seven years of marriage. The divorce was finalized on November 20, 2022 after both parties reached an agreement on child custody, property division, and spousal support. The couple share four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
