Lil Uzi Vert has teased Luv Is Rage 3 on several occasions, and has once again teased the long-awaited album. During a recent livestream, when asked about a possible deluxe version of his Pink Tape album, the ‘Money Longer’ artist dismissed the rumors and instead announced plans for a completely separate album.
He later challenged his fans to get “Pink Tape” to the top of the charts, promising to release the album they have been eagerly awaiting if they succeeded.
“Get this 2 number one and I will drop the album y’all really looking for,” Lil Uzi wrote.
Although fans speculated that the artist was hinting at a possible sequel to his 2017 debut album Luv Is Rage, there was no concrete evidence to support this theory. However, moments later, Uzi changed their Instagram bio to “Luv Is Rage 3,” further intensifying the speculation.
Lil Uzi has a history of surprising fans with new music, as seen in 2020 when he released Eternal Atake followed by a deluxe edition that essentially served as a whole new album, Lil Uzi Vert vs The World 2.
The Pink Tape is expected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200, ending a dry spell for rap albums atop the charts in 2023.
