Job Summary
The Finance manager will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the micro finance bank including financial reporting, budgeting and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting , Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of micofinance banking operations.Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Monitor budget performance and analyze variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, including those set by the Central Bank and other regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings in a timely manner.
Treasury Management:
• Manage the bank’s liquidity, cash flow, and investment strategies to ensure optimal financial stability and profitability.
• Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, investments, and financial risk management.
Internal Controls and Audit:
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the bank’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure the timely resolution of audit findings.
Financial Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost management, and financial performance evaluation.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field Bachelor of Surgery
– Minimum of 4years experience in Finance, accounting or related role within the banking sector.
– Professional Certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CPA etc will be an added advantage.
– Strong Knowledge of Financial regulations and compliance requirements for micro finance sectors.
– ⁠Proficiency in Financial management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
– ⁠Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and decision making skills.
– ⁠Strong Organizational and Time Management abilities.
– ⁠Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
– Strong clinical and surgical skills.
