Lil Wayne, Nas, André 3000 to Headline Roots Picnic 2024

The Roots have announced the lineup for their annual Roots Picnic, which will take place at The Mann in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on June 1-2. 

The two-day festival will showcase some of the most influential and diverse artists in the music industry, as well as offer a variety of immersive and interactive experiences for the attendees.

The main stage will feature the multi-GRAMMY Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne as the headliner, who will perform a special set honoring the rich musical heritage of his hometown New Orleans. He will be joined by fellow New Orleans natives PJ Morton and Trombone Shorty.

The main stage will also host soulful singer and actress Jill Scott, who will return to her hometown of Philadelphia to deliver her powerful vocals and poetic lyrics. Another highlight of the main stage will be André 3000 delivering a set in support of his new flute album, New Blue Sun.

Other performers include Nas, Gunna, Victoria Monét, Sexyy Red, Tyla, Wale, Fantasia, Muni Long, Smino, Cam’ron and more. 

The festival will also introduce the Parkside Stage, a new addition that will replace the former Podcast Stage. The Parkside Stage will feature live podcasts, DJ sets, and engaging experiences that will showcase the personalities and talents of various media figures and influencers. See the full lineup below.

Presale tickets for the Roots Picnic 2024 are available starting Tuesday (Feb. 20) at 10 a.m. EST, with general sales beginning on Friday (Feb. 23) at 10 a.m. EST.
