New York City’s Governors Ball music festival has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024 lineup, promising a weekend of diverse musical talent and electrifying performances. Taking center stage from June 7-9 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens are Grammy-nominated R&B vocalist SZA, genre-bending superstar Post Malone, and Atlanta rap kingpin 21 Savage.
Post Malone kicks off the festival on Friday, June 7th, with his genre-defying blend of pop, rock, and hip-hop. Fans can expect a captivating set filled with catchy melodies and powerful vocals. Saturday, June 8th, belongs to 21 Savage, whose raw lyricism and infectious trap beats will undoubtedly ignite the crowd.
SZA, fresh off the critical and commercial success of her latest album “SOS,” will headline the closing night on Sunday, June 9th.
Beyond the headliners, the lineup also boasts a wide range of talent across various genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Latin music sensation Rauw Alejandro brings his reggaeton and dancehall vibes, while Las Vegas rockers The Killers promise unforgettable hits like “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me.”
Indie-rock darling Dominic Fike, pop queen Carly Rae Jepsen, Houston rapper Don Toliver, rising star Teezo Touchdown, and the ever-unique Labrinth are just a few of the names set to grace the stage.
Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. expressed excitement for the occasion’s return by highlighting its positive economic impact and collaborations with nonprofit organizations. “I’m thrilled to welcome everyone back to Flushing Meadows Corona Park for this year’s Governors Ball,” he stated. “We’re even more grateful that the festival is partnering with some of our local nonprofits, including Chhaya, Elmhurst/Corona Recovery Collective, and the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park, to work with our local food vendors and other community groups doing important empowerment work.”
Governors Ball offers a vibrant festival experience for concert goers with a plethora of additional attractions, along with artist merchandise, Food, art installations and interactive experiences.
Tickets for Governors Ball 2024 go on sale on Thursday. Attendees can sign up for the SMS lowest-price presale on Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST. All ticket prices will increase on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET when the public on-sale begins. Ticket prices are all-inclusive with no fees on top.
This year introduced two new tiers for concertgoers: 2-day bundles and ultimate tickets. The former will allow fans to customize their festival experience over the weekend and attend any two days of their choosing at any ticket type, while the latter is slated to offer premium perks like access to a shared guest cabana, all-day snacks, a dinner buffet, all-inclusive bar, dedicated restroom, golf cart transportation, $100 credit to use at official Festival Merch store (excludes artist merch), exclusive festival merchandise gift, and presale access to Gov Ball After Dark.
