Dedrick Devonshay Williams, 26, Michael Boatwright, 28, and Trayvon Newsome, 24 were charged with first-degree murder in the death of XXXTentacion on Monday (March 20) and are all facing a mandatory minimum of life in prison.

XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy was gunned down in front of a South Florida motorcycle shop on June 18, 2018. The assailants shot the rapper multiple times in the neck before fleeing the scene with a bag full of $50,000 in cash and jewelry.

The three men were also charged with armed robbery and will be sentenced on Thursday, April 6.

Jenesis Sanchez, the mother of the late rapper’s son said she is relieved justice was served and thanked fans for their support.

“After 5 long years you may finally rest in peace,” she wrote. “Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside, but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share those special memories with him. Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this, I will never truly have complete peace, but justice being served today helps the healing process.”
