Young Thug’s older sister Angela Grier was announced dead on Sunday (March 26). While the death cause remains unknown, Thug’s family confirmed her untimely demise with a series of posts on social media.
“My heart is broken [heartbreak emoji] Angela Grier I Love you girl,” wrote Young Thug’s other sister Dolly White on Facebook. “You hurt your SISTERS & BROTHERS Wit this one [crying emoji] Mom & Daddy Too.”
She also shared a photo of Grier on her Instagram captioned with six heartbreak emojis and a crying emoji.
Angela’s other sister, Dora, also acknowledged her sister’s passing by changing her Instagram profile photo and tweeting the heartbreak emoji.
Fans, friends and well-wishers flooded the comments with condolence messages to Dolly and the entire family.
“Saddened by the news sis. I’m praying and praying hard. I love each and every one of y’all. Always made me feel like family. Angela was the Big sis. Always kind and worked hard,” one person said.
Another wrote, “Absent from the body, present with the lord prayers to you and your loved ones.”
Metro Boomin, London On Da Track, and Trinidad James also shared their condolences in the Instagram comments.
No report on if Young Thug has been informed about her death. The YSL founder, whose real name is Jeffery Williams faces eight charges, including conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and two counts of participation in criminal street gang activity, along with multiple drug and weapons offenses.
