Nicki Minaj Becomes First Female Rapper to Surpass 31 Billion Spotify Streams

New York, NY — Nicki Minaj recently surpassed 31 billion streams on Spotify across all credits, making her the first female rapper to achieve this milestone. She is now the fourth female artist overall to reach this mark, after Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Beyoncé.

Minaj’s most streamed song on Spotify is “Super Bass”, which has over 1.4 billion streams. Other popular songs of hers include “Anaconda”, “Starships”, and “Only”.

Spanning over a decade of unparalleled success, Nicki Minaj’s indomitable presence in the music industry has been unequivocal. She has won numerous awards, including 10 Grammy nominations. Minaj has solidified her position as one of the most accomplished female rappers in history, with an impressive discography including 5 albums and 3 mixtapes, all contributing to over 200 million records sold globally.

Her latest album, “Queen”, was released in 2018. She is currently working on her next album, Pink Friday 2, which is expected to be released later this year. To celebrate the milestone, the mother of one announced her new single “Last Time I Saw You” will arrive this Friday. She also treated fans to a snippet of the song, which she said doesn’t include any curse words.

Flattered by her fans’ approval, Minaj responded on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying, “Glad you like the lyrics. The irony is that my fave part of the whole song is the very end… like the last 30 seconds. can’t wait for you guys to hear the whole thing.”
