Drake Postpones Young Money Reunion After Testing Positive For Covid: “I Am Truly Devastated”

Drake’s Young Money reunion concert with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj has been postponed due to Covid-19. The 6 god, who is back in his hometown for his October World Weekend festival announced via Instagram stories that he had contracted the virus.

“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid,” he revealed. He confirmed the reunion, which was scheduled to take place Monday night (Aug. 1) at at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage would be “rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible.”

“I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked,” he continued.

“Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid).”

Drake’s October World Weekend festival kicked off on Thursday (July 28) at Toronto’s HISTORY with the All Canadian North Stars event, which included performances from Kardinal Offishall, Nelly Furtado, and Saukrates. On Friday (July 29) it was the turn of Chris Brown and Lil Baby to thrill the Toronto crowd as part of their One Of Them Ones Tour. The 3-day event was supposed to climax with Monday night’s show.
