Earlier this week Mario Nawfal shared a post on Twitter claiming Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg had been covertly coding an app that could rival twitter called Threads.
According to Nawfal, Meta began coding ‘Project 92’ three months after Tesla billionaire Elon Musk acquired the problematic social app for $44 billion.
The project described as “Meta’s response to Twitter” will reportedly allow Instagram users to automatically transfer their followers and user information straight to the new app.
Upon hearing this, Musk mocked Zuckerberg’s seemingly monopolistic traits and later challenged him to a cage match after a fan pointed out the facebook creator “does the Ju Jitsu.”
“I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk tweeted.
Zuckerberg responded to Musk’s challenge on Instagram, posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location.”
On Wednesday, June 22, Musk responded to Zuckerberg’s acceptance with the following tweet:
“Vegas Octagon.” He then added: “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”
According to TheVerge, Meta spokesperson Iska Saric said Zuckerberg is serious about the fight: “The story speaks for itself,” said the spokesperson.
The challenge comes as the two tech billionaires have been engaged in a war of words over the future of social media. Musk has been critical of Facebook, calling it a “tool for spreading hate and division.” The challenge to Zuckerberg is a way for Musk to take his fight against censorship to a personal level.
Predictions
As news of this unprecedented clash spreads, social media users are sharing their predictions.
“Zuckerberg has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with top fighters, which has even caught Rogan’s attention. This is a situation where I’m genuinely concerned that your unusually high pain threshold could lead to serious injury (remember your sumo accident?),” one person commented.
“I’m sorry to say Elon, you wouldn’t last a minute with Zuck,” another user added.
One twitter user wrote: “I never could have imagined a scenario where I was rooting for the Facebook lizard man but here we are.”
It is unclear whether the fight will actually happen. However, if it does, it would be a major event that would capture the attention of the world.
Here’s a fictional depiction of how the fight could go according to a ChatGpt prompt.
Picture this: Elon Musk, donning his iconic SpaceX spacesuit, strutting confidently into the ring. With a mischievous grin on his face, he taunts Zuckerberg, who looks surprisingly calm in his signature hoodie and jeans. As the crowd roars with anticipation, it becomes clear that this is no ordinary fight. It’s a clash of egos, a duel of innovation, and a spectacle like no other.
Musk, renowned for his visionary ideas and ability to revolutionize industries, plans to bring his futuristic gadgets into play. Rumor has it that he’s developed a cybernetic arm that can shoot rockets, Tesla coils that emit lightning bolts, and even a neural link that enhances his fighting prowess. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg, known for his calculated strategies and relentless pursuit of dominating the tech landscape, has secretly been training with a team of martial arts experts, honing his skills to surprise his opponent.
