50 Cent may have the latest update in the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 release saga. The G-Unit founder took to his Instagram page on Wednesday (March 1) to tease a possible partnership with Rockstar.
Though he remained tight-lipped on the details, he promised the pending announcement “is bigger than Power.”
“I will Explain this later,” he captioned an image of the Vice City logo art. “GLG GreenLightGang this sh-t bigger than POWER trust me. BOOM.”
Grand Theft Auto 6 is rumored to return to Vice City, a fictional version of Miami, which was the setting and title for the fourth main entry in the GTA series. Many fans in the comments of both his Instagram and Twitter pages concluded the rapper was hyping up a possible character involvement in the popular gaming series. Others used the opportunity to speak about their disdain for Vice City.
“Man’s going to be on GTA6 radio station or has a character like Em and Dre did,” one user commented on Instagram.
While that could be a strong possibility, 50 Cent is infatuated with the Crime drama genre, which could suggest he may have just agreed a deal with Rockstar for a Vice City TV show.
If 50 Cent ends up being featured in Grand Theft Auto 6, the partnership would continue his recent lucrative deals. Last month the rapper announced a non-broadcast deal with FOX to create animation, drama and live-action comedy for the network.
“I am excited to formalize a partnership with Michael Thorn and FOX that will allow G-Unit Film & Television to focus on putting multiple series on FOX, a perfect broadcast destination for G-Unit Film & Television content while our premium, streaming, scripted, and non-scripted slates continue to grow in all directions,” 50 Cent said in a press release.
The 47-year old also recently sold his Le Chemin du Roi champagne for a record breaking $325k.
