Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Pink Tape’ First Week Sales

UPDATE: Lil Uzi Vert achieves first number one rap album of 2023. Billboard confirms The Pink Tape moved 167,000 equivalent album units in the US, ending Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time 15-nonconsecutive weeks atop the chart.

Uzi has now earned three No. 1 studio albums on the chart. Pink Tape was preceded by Luv Is Rage 2 in 2017 and Eternal Atake in 2020.

In a new update, HitsDailyDouble reports Lil Uzi Vert’s album “Pink Tape” is now projected to move 165k copies in its first week. While it falls short of earlier projections, Pink Tape is still expected to end Morgan Wallen’s 14-non consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200.

The album released last month has been met with mostly positive reactions from social media users, with many praising it’s eclectic sound. Shortly after the ‘Pink Tape’s’ arrival, Uzi offered a challenge to his fans, promising them a new album — speculated to be the long-awaited “Luv Is Rage 3” if they get Pink Tape to number one.

“Get this 2 number one and I will drop the album y’all really looking for,” Lil Uzi wrote on his instagram story.

It’s yet to be seen if the downgraded numbers would have any effect on his decision.
