Future & Metro Boomin’s ‘WE DON’T TRUST YOU’ First Week Sales

Future & Metro Boomin’s ‘We Don’t Trust You’ debuts at No. 1 on the charts. According to Billboard, the LP moved 251,000 equivalent album units in the United States, marking the biggest opening week of 2024 for an album of any genre. 

The album is Future’s second-largest week ever, behind WATTBA with Drake and Metro Boomin’s biggest week. Additionally, “We Don’t Trust You” adds to Future’s impressive collection of chart-toppers, making it his ninth number one album, while Metro adds another trophy to his shelf with his fourth number one..

The pair are also set to release a second, companion album to “We Don’t Trust You” on April 12.

Future & Metro Boomin’s “Like That” With Kendrick Lamar Debuts No. 1 on the Hot 100 Chart

Meanwhile, the album’s most popular song “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar also landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track, which finds K. Dot taking shots at J. Cole and Drake logged 59.6 million streams, 5.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 9,000 units, per Luminate. The streams total is the most streams for a song in over a year.

“ALL PURELY OFF STREAMS. NO PHYSICALS. NO BUNDLES. JUST GREAT MUSIC AND EMBRACE FROM YOU ALL,” Metro reacted on Twitter. “THANK YOU!”

The song’s popularity is largely due to Kendrick Lamar’s unsuspecting response to Drake and J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter” collaboration. in his “Like That” verse, Lamar directly references Drake and Cole’s boast of the big three, rapping, “F**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches.” He later adds, “Motherfuck the big three, n—a, it’s just big me.” 

An additional four songs from “We Don’t Trust You” also occupied this week’s Top 10: “Type Shit” is at No. 2; “Cinderella” is at No. 6; “We Don’t Trust You” is at No. 8 and “Young Metro” is at No. 9.
