NBA YoungBoy’s ‘I Rest My Case’ First Week Projections

Must Read

NBA YoungBoy is hoping to start the new year atop the Billboard 200 chart. According to early projections, his latest album “I Rest My Case” is estimated to generate about 60k to 80k equivalent album units in its opening week. If the projection is accurate, the Baton Rouge rapper could knock SZA’s SOS off the number one spot after four consecutive weeks.

However, the more accurate HitsDailyDouble predicts the album is on track to do 31k copies in the first week, which should be just enough to secure him a top ten entry. SZA is expected to remain atop the charts for a fifth consecutive week, as SOS continues to do impressive numbers.

The 23-year-old father of 10 dropped I Rest My Case on Jan. 6, after releasing six projects last year. The featureless project marks YoungBoy’s first release since leaving Atlantic, his label of five years, and signing with Motown Records in October.

In more YoungBoy Never Broke Again news, The Grammy-nominated MC reportedly got married to longtime girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle on Saturday (January 7) in Utah.
