In an amusing turn of events, 50 Cent found himself living out a wish he playfully clamored for earlier on his Final Lap tour. In a comical video shared on Instagram last month, the G-Unit rapper light-heartedly wondered why fans weren’t tossing their bras at him, like they do for Drake on his “It’s All A Blur Tour.”
“Drake, they throw him bras. What do I get?” Fiddy jokingly teased his staff about the absence of bra-tossing fans at his concert.
It seems his fans were paying attention. During his performance in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday (September 10), an enthusiastic audience member hurled a lacy black and red bra onto the stage while 50 Cent was in the midst of performing “21 Questions.”
Though he couldn’t halt his performance to acknowledge the bra at his feet, he let out a radiant grin before pressing it to his chest and stashing it away in the back pocket of his pants.
Back in August, 50 Cent had mused about the dearth of bra-tossing fans at his concert. He amusingly engaged with his staff, feigning exasperation at not receiving the same treatment as Drake.
“They don’t treat Drake like this,” 50 quipped, before humorously directing a staff member,“Please go get me some Drake fans. Sh*t just don’t feel right, I need to feel special around here. I need them to treat me like I’m Drake. Drake get bras every night! I used to get bras in the beginning of my career.”
Drake responded by reposting the video to his Instagram Stories and extended an invitation to 50 Cent for a meet-up, offering to provide him with some guidance.
“FIF LEMME PULL UP FOR A PEP TALK @50cent,” he wrote.
