J. Cole’s “Might Delete Later” First Week Sales Projections

The first week sales projections for J. Cole’s new album “Might Delete Later” has arrived. According to HDD, the Fayetteville rapper’s surprise project will move 140-160k copies in the first week.

The album has generated considerable buzz, particularly due to its outro track “7 Minute Drill,” where Cole seemingly addresses Kendrick Lamar’s diss on “Like That.” Cole’s lyrics suggest a direct response: “I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissing / You want some attention, it comes with extensions… He’s still doing shows but fell off like The Simpsons.”

Cole goes further to diss Lamar’s entire discography, including the critically acclaimed “To Pimp A Butterfly,” implying it was mid: “Your first [album] was classic, your last [one] was tragic / Your second [album] put [listeners] to sleep but they gassed it.”

Additionally, Cole appears to take aim at Future in the track “Crocodile Tearz,” though this is speculative.
