As fans continue to await the release of his next album The Fall Off. J Cole holds them down with a surprise release project titled “Might Delete Later.”

J. Cole makes use of the opportunity to respond to Kendrick Lamar on the album’s outro track ‘7 Minute Drill.’ He critiques Lamar’s discography and alleges the Compton rapper relies on disses to stay relevant.

“He averaging one Hard verse like every 30 months or something / If he wasn’t dissing, then we wouldn’t be discussing nothin,’ raps Cole.

Despite expressing prayers for peace and love, Cole admits to being “powered up for real” and suggests that beefing with Lamar “would feel like swatting a fly.”

Fan Reactions

Fans eagerly awaited J. Cole’s response after Lamar’s initial remarks. With both rappers now firing shots, the hip-hop community is buzzing with commentary. Checkout some social media reactions below.
