Jay-Z rarely gets involved in social media drama, however, The Blueprint rapper was discovered to have liked a tweet condemning Drake’s alleged shots at Megan Thee Stallion.

For those unfamiliar with the situation, Drake seemingly accused Megan Thee Stallion of lying about Tory Lanez shooting her in the foot in his song “Circo Loco” from his newly released joint album with 21 Savage “Her Loss.”

“This b-tch lie ’bout getting shots, but she still a stallion / She don’t even get the joke, but she still smiling,” he raps on the Boi-1da and Tay Keith-produced track.

The controversial lyrics received wide condemnation from fans and critics including BET News host Marc Lamont Hill who called him out for the apparent diss.

“If Drake had accused some male rapper of being a liar instead of a woman, the people who defend him would be outraged right now. But, he would never do that.”

While Jay-Z did not comment on the topic, the rap billionaire seemingly agreed with Hill’s position by liking the tweet. He quickly unliked but not before Twitter sleuths were able to get screenshots.

Megan Thee Stallion, who has a management deal with Jay’s Roc Nation company already reacted to the song by calling out Drake and others rapping about her shooting.

“Stop using my shooting for clout bitch ass N-ggas! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot ! You niggas especially RAP N-GGAS ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her,” Meg typed.

“And when the mf facts come out remember all y’all hoe ass favorite rappers that stood behind a Nigga that SHOT A FEMALE,” she concluded.

Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro also weighed in on the topic and says he’s not worried about Drake or the people who are raising questions about Stallion’s claims of being shot by Tory Lanez.

“It’s disheartening, it’s confusing,” Spiro said during an appearance on TMZ Live. “It’s at a time when, really, a community and people and fellow artists should be rallying behind her. She is the victim here.”

“I say this as words of caution – and I know many of the folks across the industry – but those people are going to look very silly when the facts fully come out.” Spiro continued. “It’s going to be troubling, and it’s going to be a stain that stays with them.”

“These things are irrefutable and cannot be cross-examined,” he added

Amid the controversy, Lil Yachty, who contributed to several tracks on Her Loss and is credited as a writer on “Circo Loco,” addressed the controversy surrounding the lyrics, and said that it was not a Megan reference, but about women lying about BBLs.

“I know he’s not going to address it, because I know Drake,” he said while on Instagram Live on Friday (Nov. 4). “It’s not about Megan it’s about women lying about their butt shots saying it’s real when it’s fake.”
