50 Cent Says Jay-Z Images Himself After A Gay Painter

50 Cent took some shots at Jay-Z during a recent interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

While speaking on the Emmy-winning Super Bowl LVI Pepsi halftime show, which featured himself, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent revealed he knew he was going to be a part of the festivities long before it became public and implied that the only reason he wasn’t included in the promotional ad for the performance was because Jay-Z — who helped organize the halftime show in his role as the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist— still isn’t over their beef.

“I got the call before the ad went out. I wasn’t in the ad because Jay-Z and ‘em was putting it together. I think they still harbor some energy towards me,” Fif said.

The host then asked if he feels his exclusion from the ad was intentional. “No, no,” 50 Cent replied. “They were saying the NFL had some issues with me. I don’t know what those issues are, what’s the issue.”

He went on to reference a Drink Champs episode from back in April where the show’s co-host, N.O.R.E. revealed Eminem told JAY-Z he wasn’t going to perform at the Super Bowl unless 50 Cent was involved.

“‘He was telling me the white boy would’t do the shoot without 50.’ That’s when I start saying crazy stuff, because I look and I go ‘oh, that’s your big homie’ okay,” he continued, adding Jay images himself after famous American painter, Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was documented as bisexual.

“So you image yourself after the gay painter. Big homie want to look like the gay painter.”

During a Drink Champs episode with Snoop Dogg last year, N.O.R.E. claimed Eminem told Jay-Z he wasn’t going to perform at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show if he couldn’t bring 50 Cent.

“I said to JAY-Z, I have to ask this straight up: ‘Who is gonna perform at the NFL?’” N.O.R.E. said. “And he [Jay] said to me, ‘The white guy called for 50 Cent.’

“I said, ‘Who is the white guy? Jimmy Iovine?’ And he said, ‘No, Eminem called directly for 50 and he said I can’t do it if I can’t bring 50 with me.’”

“That’s spiritual,” N.O.R.E. concluded.

50 Cent reacted to the news on Instagram and questioned why Eminem had to vouch for him in the first place.

“Why would he have to say that should be the question? NORE Your big homie is running around trying to look like a gay painter,” he wrote, referencing Hov’s hair.

In a follow-up post, the Power creator wondered why Hov referred to Eminem as the “white” guy rather than a title that more accurately represents his status in Hip Hop.

“[eyeball emojis] why did he say the white boy, why he didn’t say the biggest rap artist in the world ?” he asked.

50 Cent’s latest comments at Jay-Z continues their off-and-on rivalry, which began with the release of 50 Cent’s 1999 controversial track How To Rob. In a 2011 interview with MTV News, the G-Unit rapper explained his feud with Jay-Z was important for both their careers.

“We don’t have those kind of relationships. These people are people I associate with. We are in the same business, we are not necessarily friends. We don’t call each other for no reason, it’s not like we have something against each other to make us enemies. Me and Jay will use each other repeatedly for energy.”

Elsewhere in his interview with Big Boy, Fifty announced plans to reunite with Dr. Dre for his next album. He made the revelation when talking about a recent tweet he put out about recording new music.

“As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear,” he said. “This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something.”

He also revealed he’s currently working on an 8 Mile TV series.

“We in motion,” he said. “It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100 … I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”
