Adonis Reportedly Got A ‘Nice Check’ For Drake’s For ‘All The Dogs’ Album Cover

Drake has officially announced the release date for his eighth studio album, “For All the Dogs.” The long-awaited LP is set to drop on Friday, September 22nd. The Toronto rapper shared the release date on his Instagram, Wednesday evening alongside video footage of his father Dennis Graham, performing on his own.

The title “For All the Dogs” was initially revealed by Drake in June, during the promotion of his poetry book, “Titles Ruin Everything.” In the lead-up to the album’s release, the 36-year-old artist shared the album’s cover art, a basic black-and-white cartoon of a dog with red eyes, artistically created by his 5-year-old son, Adonis. Despite its simplicity, reports suggest that Adonis received a substantial compensation for his contribution.

During an episode of the “A Safe Space” podcast, Lil Yachty mentioned that Adonis was handed a “nice check” for his artwork. He remarked, “He got a nice check for that cover,” after Mitch speculated on how much Adonis was paid. Yachty went on to praise the dynamic between Drake and Adonis, emphasizing how Drake engages with him in a manner that doesn’t patronize his age.

“I enjoy just being around and just listening to [Drake and Adonis] interact, because the boy doesn’t talk to him like a kid, he doesn’t talk to him like a man, but he doesn’t talk to him like a kid. He talks to him like you talk to somebody and he’s really good with conversating,  it’s really impressive.”

“For All The Dogs” serves as the follow-up to Drake and 21 Savage’s “Her Loss.” Back in June, Drake announced the project as part of a promo campaign for his poetry book, “Titles Ruin Everything,” which he co-wrote alongside songwriter Kenza Samir; “I don’t know if I have ever wanted people to buy or support something more in my life,” he wrote in the announcement post. The social media blast also included a link where the album’s impending arrival was initially revealed. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. For All The Dogs,” he added.
