Drake and SZA Team Up For New Song ‘Slime You Out’ – Listen

Drake and SZA have come together for the track “Slime You Out,” which serves as the lead single from the Canadian’s highly anticipated eighth album, “For All The Dogs.”

Prior to the song’s release, the duo teased the collaboration on Instagram, sharing the artwork featuring a photo of Halle Berry being slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Drake captioned his post simply with a wide-eyed emoji and a green heart emoji. SZA – who released her sophomore album in December – shared the same image, accompanied by a green puking emoji, a face with a hand over its mouth, and a googly eye emoji.

The eagerly awaited collaboration dropped on Friday to the delight of fans. Over the 5-minute track produced by 40, BNYX, Noel Cadastre, Dalton Tennant, and Drake himself, the Toronto superstar croons, “I’m slimin’ you for them kid choices you made.”

SZA fires back, accusing Drake of not following through on his promises, singing, “Fightin’ out here, like you dckin’ me out / And I ain’t even comin’ over now / And you ain’t ’bout the sht you rappin’ about.”

Drake previously disclosed their past relationship in the lyrics of his 2021 song “Mr. Right Now.” He rapped, “Yeah, said she wanna f*** to some SZA, wait/Cause I used to date SZA back in ‘08.” Last year, upon the release of her sophomore album, SZA clarified that their relationship began in 2009, adding, “I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening. Completely innocent. Lifetimes ago.”

Drake is set to release For All The Dogs, the follow-up to last year’s “Honestly, Nevermind” next Friday, September 22. The 36-year-old has hinted at guest appearances by Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj on the album, set to release via OVO Sound and Republic Records. Yeat might also make a guest appearance on a track previewed in a recent ad for Drake’s new Nike Nocta Glide sneakers.
