Drake Begs J. Cole for a Feature, Cole Says Yes

Fans of both J. Cole and Drake have been pleasantly surprised by the announcement that the two artists will be collaborating on J. Cole’s upcoming album “The Fall Off.” This unexpected news follows a memorable moment during Drake and 21 Savage’s It’s All a Blur Tour stop in Montreal, Canada, on Saturday (July 15).

During his performance, Drake publicly invited J. Cole to join him on stage, which created a frenzy of excitement among the crowd.

“Montreal, I want you to understand something,” Drake said. “It takes somebody that really not only loves the art of this shit, but really loves all of you to get on a plane, come here for two nights and represent for Montreal. So make some mutha****ing noise for my brother, all the way from the ‘Ville, he goes by the name of Jermaine Cole. I need you to get as loud as you can!”

J. Cole, like the previous night, eagerly made his way to the stage to join Drake for a special joint performance. Together, they treated the audience to energetic renditions of their popular songs “No Role Modelz” and Cole’s verse on 21’s Savage’s “a lot.”

Drake then stopped the show to ask the packed crowd if they would like to hear him collaborate with J. Cole. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Drake then said, “Maybe I could get on the album?”prompting Cole to respond saying, “N***a!”

Not satisfied with the response, a relentless Drake continued to publicly plea for a collaboration asking, “Can I get on the album? I’m a ask in front of Montreal. ‘J. Cole, can we get on your album?’”

Finally, J. Cole, showing a hint of frustration, directly responds to Drake’s persistent request with “Say less, goddammit!” The two rappers then hugged and exchanged words before Drake continued the show.

Drake and J. Cole, both emerging in the late 2000s/early 2010s, have followed similar paths in their careers. Over the years, they have collaborated on notable tracks such as “In the Morning” in 2010 and “Jodeci Freestyle” in 2013.

Their friendship has remained strong, with Drake and Cole sharing a bond forged by their simultaneous rise to fame, even though Drake has achieved greater commercial success. Both rappers are often hailed as hip-hop greats and are considered among the top artists of their generation.

J. Cole is expected to release his sixth studio album, The Fall Off, sometime next year. The rapper from Fayetteville, North Carolina, has been teasing the album for some time, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

Drake on the other hand is getting set to release his seventh studio album “For All The Dogs” in the coming weeks.
