Earlier this year, 50 Cent announced his intentions to promote positivity in 2024 and vowed to steer clear of what he considered meaningless activities, including sex and online trolling.
While it remains to be seen if the “Power” creator will stick to his resolution, the 48-year-old has been looking noticeably healthier in recent photos. The music-turned-television mogul shared several pictures on his Instagram account this week and fans were quick to notice he had lost an astonishing amount of weight fairly quickly.
Internet users scrutinized his appearance, and many couldn’t resist commenting on his noticeably slimmer frame.
“One user remarked, ‘N**** just a quarter now,’” while another added, “N**** looks like when all things fall apart.”
A third person chimed in, saying, “Ok, it’s a few Cents missing,” and someone else, expressing disbelief, wrote, “How did 50 Cent get so skinny in like a week? I hope that brother is ok.”
In additional photos, fans speculated that the G-Init founder might be using Ozempic, a drug associated with weight loss. While many fans genuinely expressed concern about his health, some linked the weight loss to his alleged breakup with longtime girlfriend Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines.
“The breakup with Cuban Link was harder than he thought from 50 Cent to a quarter,” one person joked. Another added, “People sure post a lot when they break up.”
Despite the rapper’s history of shedding weight for cinematic roles, he attributed his current lean frame to his commitment to abstinence in 2024. In a recent Instagram post on Saturday (Jan. 20), 50 Cent showcased his slim and fit figure, crediting the results to his intensified gym efforts.
In the caption, he wrote, “I’m focused man, practicing abstinence is helping me train harder. I feel great, and I think more people should try it.”
