Jacky Oh, the former cast member of the MTV show Wild ‘N Out, was laid to rest on Saturday (June 10), at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. The viewing began at 1pm and the service followed at 2pm.
The funeral was a somber affair, but it was also a celebration of Jacky’s life. She was remembered as a loving and caring person who was always willing to help others. DC Young Fly, Jacky Oh’s partner and the father of her three children, was among the speakers at the service.
In his eulogy to Jacky, DC spoke graciously about his wife and how her death has strengthened his faith in God.
“I’m here to tell you as a firm believer, God makes no mistakes. Don’t question nothing, don’t even question what we going through, because we’re going to go through it and get through it because my God is going to give us the strength to get through it.”
He called on the public to pray for his family and send “good energy our way because this ain’t hard, but it sure ain’t easy.”
“And for those who see me y’all know I pray a lot because life is real,” he continued. “And if I didn’t pray a lot I won’t be able to deal with it. But I’m sitting here strong letting you know chin up, chest out that I’m straight. My kids, we good, because like I said we live by the spirit. And not by the flesh. Are we hurt? Yes, we’re human, we got emotions. But we are strong because we have the holy spirit living inside of us. And we are going to get through this together.”
DC went on to speak about his love for Jacky and how she was a “super great mother” to their three children. He also joked that he would have liked to have had seven more children with her.
“Love you Jack. These kids are beautiful man. God granted me the strength to have three, you know I was trying to have seven more. But I love you girl. And I want our kids to understand that you had a beautiful soul,” he said. “And you didn’t leave us, you’re in heaven. Your spirit is with us, you’re still here and we’ve got an amazing support system. We’ve got a beautiful support system.”
He ended his speech by saying that he loves Jacky forever and thanked everyone for their prayers and support.
“I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and ask for privacy during this difficult time. We love you Jacky Oh. Rest in peace.”
