50 Cent Faces Lawsuit After Microphone Toss Injures Radio Host

50 Cent is facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims he threw a microphone at her during a concert, causing her serious injuries.

The woman, identified as Bryhana Monegain, is a radio host for Power 106, a popular hip-hop station in Los Angeles. She was attending the concert at the Crypto.com Arena on August 3, as part of 50 Cent’s final lap tour when she got struck by a microphone.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by The Blast, 50 Cent became angry when his microphone malfunctioned and threw it into the crowd, hitting Monegain in the face and wrist. She suffered a concussion, a cut on her forehead, and pain in her wrist.

Following the incident, she was transported to the hospital by ambulance and treated for her injuries.

Monegain is suing 50 Cent for negligence, assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She is seeking compensation for her medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.

She claims that the G-Unit founder’s actions were “willful, wanton, reckless, and malicious.”

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has already denied any wrongdoing and said he did not intend to hurt anyone. He was cleared of any criminal charges by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, who said there was insufficient evidence to prove he acted with malice or intent.

The rapper’s attorney told Daily Mail in late August, “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”

The rapper has not commented publicly on the new lawsuit.
