Lil Tjay’s ‘222’ Album First Week Sales Projections

Despite “222” generating a lot of buzz, early projections for the album aren’t favorable. According to reports, Lil Tjay’s third album is expected to sell less than 20,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.

This would be a significant drop from his previous album, Destined 2 Win, which sold 62,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week.

Released on Friday (July 14), 222 features assists from Jadakiss, Fivio Foreign, Summer Walker, The Kid LAROI, Polo G, and Coco Jones.

“I feel like I’m back where I needed to be,” the 22-year-old said during a chat with TMZ following his album release party. “I’m back to the best of my ability and I want to take this as far as possible.”

“I’m happy to see where this project goes,” he added. “I’m happy with myself.”

Upon release, the New York City native seemingly threw shade at Gunna while celebrating the fact that his new project sat at No. 5 on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart. However, Gunna is getting the last laugh considering “A Gift & A Curse” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 85,000 units sold in its first week.
